Top: Felicia Meyer Marsh, circa 1940 / unidentified photographer. Robert G. McIntyre papers, Archives of American Art, Smithsonian Institution.

Bottom: Girl reading a letter by an open window, circa 1659 / Johannes Vermeer. Original in the Gemäldegalerie Alte Meister of the Staatliche Kunstsammlungen Dresden, image from Wikimedia Commons.
